v. pid·dled, pid·dling, pid·dles. v.tr. To use triflingly; squander: piddle away one's time
Oh to piddle away a day... how I long for days of piddling and "squandering" my time doing things I love the most. Today, it occurred to me that if I love to piddle, so do most of you (hence why you are reading my blog rather than doing something productive.) So here, all piddlers unite. I will post frequently how I piddled my day away and provide you with some pretty unique, fun and simple ways to piddle AND be productive all in the same day.
About me:
I was born and raised on the edge of a small town in Kansas. After life happened I moved my happy rear end to a different small town in Kansas only one that borders a much larger city and is much more demanding. I love and can relate to the simplicity in life and long for it during those long morning commutes, running the kids to their many activities or when I'm fixing a "throw together" meal for the family when what I really MEANT to do was be organized enough to have something fabulous cooking all day in the slow-cooker waiting for me when I got home.
Simplicity is what I love, who I am and ultimately where I came from. Enjoying the small things on a daily basis can lead to explicit happiness that cannot be found shopping, working or the like. In fact, simplicity cannot generally be found. It is one of those rare things that is stumbled upon, seen in a glance and usually disregarded during our mundane routines. It is my goal to bring both simplicity and self-reward to all and any of you seeking "something" that cannot seem to be found. I will bring this to you through my "piddling diary", recipes, photos and ultimately my experiences.
Every Thursday it is my intention to provide you (the reader) with a piddling project for the weekend. I usually have a very unorganized list in my brain of all the things I want to do and all the things I have to do. The things I have to do always wins and I rarely get to the WANT list but I am hoping through organization and motivation we can get to that WANT list together.
This Thursday, September 27, 2012, I intend to post a project I am working on for a re-do of my daughter's bedroom. She's 16, has super attitude and is a lot like her mother. Rough on the outside at times but elegant and soft on the inside. Hence the name, The Rusty Chandelier as I feel it represents my true character.
Please join me on Thursday and leave some feedback! I would love to hear from all of you, learn of your projects and get a glimpse into your life. Until then, shine on my little chandeliers, shine on and remember, piddlers UNITE!!!
